Making art to me is mostly an act of viewing as a mental activity. The camera and the enlarger in the darkroom have become devices that serve a coming into being of a certain way of thinking: as a mental exploration of the world from a specific perspective. One could see this approach to photography as a metaphor for a device or lens that can frame, form or even deform a view: a mental viewfinder. For more information see:

as well as empty, hollowed-out spaces have one thing in common: as soon
as one enters them, they give an impression of absence. They produce a
kind of vacuum, making the viewer or visitor feel like an unsolicited
guest – if not already an invisible one. Certain architectures can
produce feelings like these, for example abandoned, misused and
run-down...
Tina Schulz (born 1975 in Munich)lives and works in BrusselsMy artistic practice is concerned with processes of production of meaning. By adaptating forms of representation they can become visible as very useful and also very powerfull – but nevertheless „selfmade“ – constructions and interpretations of reality that surrounds us. My approach to themes and issues as well as my use of references starts at this point: by shifting, copying, faking...

Ada Van Hoorebeke °1982 Belgium.Lives in Berlin since 2007, studied painting at the academy of Antwerp 2003-2006. I like to copy an idea several times in different forms with slight differences. Some of my artworks on textile travel to Africa in order to be worked out in batik or paint. The installation around the 2 dimensional works could be seen as a frame around a classical painting. It is there in honor of the work of art and...
Eleni Kamma (1973, Cyprus) lives and works in Belgium and the Netherlands. By opening up an in-between space, there is always a suggestion of something that holds; a frame, an organization, an element of control. In her drawings, models and video animations, Eleni Kamma investigates possibilities for a future architecture that rejects binary logics and accepts rather than tolerates. Her...
I'm interested in how we give meaning to history and how we relate to it. To find meaning in one's own history, to become conscious of what happened and to accept it means taking responsibility for our actions. What has changed in social mechanisms since the Middle Ages, if anything has actually changed? Maybe we now live in the New Middle Ages. Aleksandra Chaushova (b. 1985; Sofia, Bulgaria)...
