
Aukje Koks is interested in the intersection between the visible reality and the world of ideas. She dislocates the viewer’s perspective. To the viewer, reality and illusion are intermingled; it is no longer clear what is real and what is not.
Her work sometimes expands out of the canvas and even her studio (site-specific wall works) but whatever the medium is, she aims to create a humanised atmosphere. Ideas are not immediately found...
